The genetic information passed from parent to offspring is contained in genes carried by chromosomes in the nucleus. Sexual reproduction produces offspring that resemble their parents, but are not identical to them. Asexual reproduction produces offspring - clones - which are genetically identical to their parents.

Hello....!!
Human beings are identical to their parents and may have the same characters as their parents, and in few cases they may not be identical to their parents and may have different characters than parents because there maybe some genetic variation. Or they may represent their grandparents or great grandparents. Or the genes of mother and father might have joined and formed a new characteristic gene. The main reason for not being identical is Genetic variation.
Hope this helps....!!
