                                         Human Circulatory System

What is the circulatory system?

- Human circulatory system in the collaboration of three independent system that is heart, lungs and arteries , veins, capillaries.

With what is it associated?

- The Human circulatory system is associated with the transportation of blood to different parts of the body that includes oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients, etc

The main organ associated with it is Heart.

Just a quick look into structure of heart will make it easier for you to understand the process.
The Human heart contains 4 chambers --
1) Right Auricle/ Atrium
2) Right Ventricle
3) Left Auricle/Atrium
4) Left Ventricle

I won't explain the various parts of heart only the important ones.

The process of Human Circulatory system

The deoxygenated blood ( rich in carbon dioxide) from all parts of the body is received by the right auricle from Vena cava (Main vein). The right auricle contracts and the blood is forced into right ventricle .As the right auricle relaxes the right ventricle contracts and the blood is carried by pulmonary artery from right ventricle to the lungs for purification.

Now after purification in lungs, the oxygenated blood (rich in oxygen) is carried by pulmonary vein to left atrium from lungs. Then the oxygenated blood is carried to left ventricle from where the Aorta (main artery) carries it away from heart for distribution in various parts of the body. There are 2 valves tricuspid and bicuspid valve that prevents the backflow of blood into auricle.

The Human circulatory system is said to be double circulation system. This is because the blood passes twice through the heart (from heart to lungs and back again from lungs to heart) to complete one cycle.

Hope This Helps You!

Balajeesakthivel: pothathu
sreedhar2: There's is a mistake. Oxygenated blood carried by pulmonary veins to left auricle.. not ventricle
sreedhar2: Aorta arises frim left ventricle not auricle
Jyoti1711: yes right
sreedhar2: yup!
Jyoti1711: hm
sreedhar2: Now nice. :)
