Hey there!

Introduction: Where on one hand average income or per capita income which is the comparision criterion used by World Bank is useful for comparision of various countries, yet, it hides disparities. Therefore UNDP( United Nations Development Programme) publishes HDR( Human Development Report) which compares countries on many factors other than income like health and education factors. Some of them are:-

  1. Literacy Rate- It is the proportion of people who can read and write in any regional language per thousand people belonging to seven or above age group.
  2. Net Aatendance Ratio- It is the proportion of the children of 14-15 age group attending school per thousand children.
  3. Infant Mortality Rate- It is the ratio of children who die between the age of 0-1 year per thousand live children born in that particular year.
  4. Life Expectancy Rate- It is the average expected life of a person at the time of birth.

Hope it helped!
