Our food is partially digested in our stomach.Our body cells can't take nutrients directly except protein.So they are turned into glucose and energy in the Circulatory system by the help oxygen which is brought by Respiratory system.

As we know in our intestine useful nutrients are absorbed by villies and then are sent to all organs.But before distribution it is burned by Oxygen and then is sent to all organs of the body.As we know complete combustion means burning of a substance by the presence of oxygen and the end product which is produced is will Co2.Same here happens.When the glucose and other nutrients is assimilated by our cells they produced waste material called CO2 which is then released by our respiratory system.

Hence,Human organisation is an internal combustion machine because of Respiratory and Circulatory system.
