Dr. Sadao risked himself and saved the life of the American sailor. He treated the sailor's wounds, nursed him and fed him back to normal life. When the sailor was completely healthy, he provided him with food as well as a boat to escape from the country. Also, a a Japanese citizen, he also informs the General about the American sailor and even though the General forgets to send in his assassins, Dr. Sadao could not be blamed for helping the American to flee Japan. Thus, Dr. Sadao succeeded both as doctor as well as a patriot and it proves that human values are far above than any other value system.
