Hunger Games: Katniss has rebelled since arriving at the training center. Has her rebellion helped her or hurt her as a tribute? Take a position AND justify your response with evidence from the text. On page 237 rue dies and katniss decorates her body in flowers and it shows respect to rue's district and her loved ones but it angers the capitol. This shows rebellion but I think it hurt katniss.

Answer:
Katniss Everdeens rebellion has helped her survive from the beginning of the book till the very end for is what keeps her alive, its apart of her character, for example at the very beginning of the book when she leaves the comfort of her bed to go beyond the electric fence of district 12 to hunt for meat and pick assorted berries and leafy greens, mind you going beyond the fence is illegal and can result in serious acts of punishment if discovered, but going beyond the fence is what kept her and her family alive(chapter 1 )
another example of Katniss's acts of rebellion is when Katniss talks to the Avox it is forbidden and shes been warned but she still tries to apologies after shes been warned this helped her become aware that at all times she was being watched she found thisout because when she tried to apologies the avox pointed to a little box and hushed her
when rue is killed and she covers her in flowers it is an act of rebellion (the flowers make rues innocence and purity really stick out )why you may ask well because it makes the capital feel bad and makes them sympathies whats happening thus making the people see that there is something very horrible and sadistic about the games which is not what the capital wants they don't want there people to see through there facade, and also she new in the back of her mind that that would cause and uprising in the district because they've just murder an innocent pure little girl
when Katniss talks with rue about her district that is a act of rebellion because the capital doesn't want the districts to know really anything about one another
lastly when Katniss devises the plan with the berries that was an act of rebellion that she positively knew what she was doing and she did it out of anger by making them render there decision a third time she made the capital seem weak, like a pushover, she played the game and made it hers she was no longer a piece in there games they were a piece in hers and that angered president snow very much
