Given equation: kx2-2kx+6=0

the basic form of any quadratic equation is:

ax2+bx+c=0.

So: a=k, b=-2k, c=6.

for any equation having equal roots,

b2-4ac=0, or b2=4ac;

So (-2k)2=4*k*6

4k2=24k

4k*k=24*k

eliminating k;

4k=24

k=6 ans.

kartik338: Whats means by eliminating k?
RabbitPanda: K is present on lhs as well as rhs...eliminating k refers to cutting k☺
kartik338: its k² on lhs how it eliminate
