hybrid varieties have more desirable characteristics than indigenous varities because hybrid varieties are produced by crossing two desirable characteristic plants

ex :- A mongo tree gives less no.of mangoes but they are sweet . Other tree gives more no.of fruits but are not sweet . So by crossing we get hybrid variety which has both desirable characters
