Water is H2O so the stoichiometry is that one oxygen atom combines with 2 hydrogens whilst hydrogen peroxide is H2O2 so the stoichiometry is that 2 oxygen atom combines with 2 hydrogens. However the "ratios of atoms" in each molecule are 1:2 and 1:1 respectively. so the "proportions" are these.
