Hydrogen combines with oxygen to form H2O and
H2O2 under different conditions. With this example

Answer:

H2O MW = 2 + 16 = 18

since, 2g Hydrogen = 16g Oxygen

therefore, 1g Hydrogen = 16/2g Oxygen

= 8g Oxygen

Now, H2O2 : MW = 2 + 32 = 34

since, 2g Hydrogen = 32g Oxygen

therefore , 1g Hydrogen = 32/2 g Oxygen

= 16 g Oxygen

For 1 gm hydrogen , mass of oxygen in H2O and H2O2 is in 1 : 2 ratio .
