because  nitric  acid  is  good  oxidising   agent   then  the  hydrogen  evolve  during  reaction   get  oxidised  and  converted   into  water   so  we  cannot   react  metal  with  nitric  acid

dishankpatel16082003: exceptions???????
dishankpatel16082003: Mg and Mn reacts with nitric acid so those are the exception

Nitric acid on reacting with  HNO3 forms water and gets reduced to any of nitrogen oxide. Because nitric acid is a strong oxidising agent.

EXCEPTION: Magnesium and Manganese react with very dilute nitric acid to release h2 gas.
