Hydrogen gas was discovered by whom in 1766 by Henry Cavnedish.

Though, the very first time presence of hydrogen gas actually seen was years before it's actual discovery in the year 1671 by a Scientist named Robert Boyle.

  • Robert Boyle while performing an experminet observed that every time a metal reacts with an acid a gas is relased that burns with a pop sound. Boyle concluded a lot of hydrogen's property through his experimnet but  was still unable to prove his discovery.
  • Though the actual name "hydrogen" was given by Antonine Lavoiser as Henry Cavnedish termed Hydrogen as "inflamable air".
