For the preparation of Hydrogen, granulated zinc is taken in the beaker and H2SO4 is poured in the beaker. The acid reacts with Granulated zinc forming Hydrogen.
Zn + H2SO4 -》 ZnSO4 + H2
Zinc being more reactive than Hydrogen displaces Hydrogen from its sulphate solution and forms Zinc sulphate and as a result Hydrogen is evolved.
