the initial equation will be :

H2S + O2 --- SO2 + H2O

the number of atoms of each element on either side will be :

H = 2 × 2 = 4 H = 2 × 2 = 4

S = 1 × 2 = 2 S = 1 ×2 = 2

O = 2 × 3 = 6 O = 3 × 2 = 6

*for oxygen above it will be like :

2(SO2) = 4 Oxygen atoms from here

2(H2O) = 2 oxygen atoms from here

4+2=6 O2 atoms
