"ANSWER: (a), Vallisnaria

The process of pollination done by water is called as hydrophily. Among the given option, such type of pollination is witnessed in Vallisnaria. In Vallisnaria both the “male and female flower” is produced in one single plant. The male flowers are short and gets detached from the parental body after maturation and starts to flow on the water surface.

The female flowers grow along the parental body with help of stalks. As the female flower reaches the water surface with help of long stalks, the pollens released by the male flower floating on surface of water are carried to the female flower through water currents and in turn initiates the pollination process.
