let ABC is a right angle triangle, right angled at B
here
BC is the shorter side
let BC be x m then AB equal to (x+4) m and AC will be hypotanuse of a right angle triangle which is (2x-4) m
according to question
by using Pythagoras theorem
 {ab}^{2}  +  {bc}^{2}    =  {ac}^{2}
( {x + 4)}^{2}  +  {x}^{2}  =  {(2x - 4)}^{2}
after solving we get X equals to 12
Therefore,
BC equals to 12 metre
AB equals to 16 m
and AC equals to 20 m
