Summation of series

In mathematics, summation is the addition of a sequence of any kind of numbers, called addends or summands; the result is their sum or total. ... For example, summation of [1, 2, 4, 2] is denoted 1 + 2 + 4 + 2, and results in 9, that is, 1 + 2 + 4 + 2 = 9.

Hyperbolic function

a function of an angle expressed as a relationship between the distances from a point on a hyperbola to the origin and to the coordinate axes, as hyperbolic sine or hyperbolic cosine: often expressed as combinations of exponential functions.
