using Pythagoras theorem ,

h^2 = p^2 + b^2

b^2 = h^2 - p^2 = 13^2 - 12^2 = 169 - 144 = 25

b^2 = 25

b=√25

b= 5cm

5 is the base b re o because h² = p² + b²

h²-p²=b²

13²-12² =b²

169-144 =b²

25 =b²

5=b.....
