  radiation is useful in radiology in cancer treatment

  used in scanning  our body to predict damages in the bone [x-ray,CT scan]

  used to treat eye in lasik treatment

In nuclear reactor

  in case of any burst it cause severe damage to both environment and human

it effects are long lasting and affects the generations

in case of atom bomb dropped its effects are even severe

             EX :  The BIKINI ISLAND in japan which is land used by USA to test its atom bomb after the world war II
