Let N1 be the number of 50 p coins in bag
Let N2 be the number of Rs 1 coin in bag
And
We know that
Rs 1 = 2 × 50paise
Rs 1/2 = 50 paise. .....(2)
According to the question,
Case 1
N2 = N1. ......(2)
Case 2
[1 × (N2)] + (50paise × N1) = Rs 300
N2 + (1/2 N1 ) = Rs 300. (from equation 1)
N1 + 1/2N1 = 300. (from equation 2)
(2 + 1)N1/2 = 300
3N1/2 = 300
N1 = (300 ×2) / 3
N1 = 200 = N2
