3. One number is 4 times the other and the difference
between the two numbers is 21. Find the two
numbers.​

ANSWER :- These two numbers are 7 and 28

Solution ,

Let the the first number be x and second number be 4x according to Q.

Given ,

4x - x = 21

3x = 21

x = 21/3 = 7

Hence , first number = x =7

and second number = 4x = 4 × 7 = 28

Verifying : Their difference :- 28 - 7 = 21
