Answer:

ur ans is- {r(-1+n)/2}

Explanation:

it is given that,

m=1/n

let,

focal length=f

=R/2

we get,

m= -v/u

=>1/n= -v/u

=> u= -vn

we know that,

1/f=1/u+1/v

=>1/f=1/-vn+1/v

=>1/f= -1+n/vn

=>f= vn/-1+n

=>R/2= vn/-1+n

=>2vn=-r+rn

=> v=-r+rn/2n

now,

u= - vn

= - {r(-1+n)×n/2n}

= - {r(-1+n)/2}

hope it help u
