5

Step-by-step explanation:

The no of potteries be x

cost of potteries 2x+5

According to the given condition,

(x) (2x+5) =168

2x sq+ 5x=168

2x sq+5x-168=0

2xsq+ 27x- 16x-168=0

2x(2x+27) - 8(2x+27)=0

(x-8). (2x+27)=0

x=8. x= -21-2

x=-23

Pots are not negative

x=8

No of pots =8

Answer:

Articles Made On A Single Day = 8

Price Of 1 Article is Rs. 21

Step-by-step explanation:

Let The No. of Pots made be x

therefore, Cost of Production of each Article = 2x + 5

Now,

Cost Of 1 Article x Nom of Articles Made = Cost of Total Production

Therefore

(2x + 5) (x) = 168

2x^2 + 5x= 168

2x^2 +5x - 168 = 0

Splitting The Middle Term

2x^2 + 21x - 16x - 168 = 0

2x^ -16x +21x -168=0 (Changed the Order to make it easier to find common)

2x(x - 8) + 21( x - 8 ) = 0

2x+21 = 0 x-8=0

x= -21/2. x=8

Now, Articles Made Cannot be Negative

So we cannot take x = -21/2 = -10.5

Therefore

x = 8

So Articles Made On A Single Day = 8

Price Of 1 article = 2x + 5

Price Of 1 Article = 2(8) +5

Price Of 1 Article = 16+5

Price of 1 Article = 21

So Price Of 1 Article is Rs. 21
