i) A rectangular park is 50m long and 30m wide. A path 3m wide is

constructed outside the park. Find the area of the path.

(ii) What is the circumference of a circular disc of radius 21 cm ?​

Length of the park = 50 m

Breadth of the park = 30 m

Area of the park = 50×30

=1500m

Width of the path inside the park = 2m

Length of the park without path = 50−(2+2)=50−4=46m

Breadth of the park without path = 30−(2+2)=30−4=26m

Area of the park without the path = 46×26

=1196m

Area of the path = Area of park - Area of park without path

=1500−1196

=304m

ii) It is given that,

Radius of a circle = 21 cm.

We know that π=22/7,

So the circumference of a circle = 2πr

Substituting the values,

=2∗22/7∗21

So we get,

=2∗22∗3

=132 cm
