Are you enjoying the summer? I can't believe it's already July, but I am glad
there is still another month of vacation left. Last weekend, Eva, Dad and I went
to Harbor Springs Amusement Park. The park was crowded since it was a sunny
day. Eva and Dad loved a roller coaster ride called 'the Quicksilver', but I liked the
ride on the Ferris wheel. I rode it four times. Had it not been the time for lunch,
I would have kept riding it.
I think I like Ferris wheel because I can see far off distances when I reach the top.
Did you know that the first Ferris wheel carried 2,160 people and weighed 2,200
tons? I wish I could take a ride on it, but it was built for the World Fair in 1893.
I wish, someday I can go to Japan and take a ride on the Sky Dream Fukuoka. It is
one of the biggest Ferris wheels in the world.
