Let my age and son's age be x and y years.
Given, x = 3y
x + 5 = 5(y + 5)/2
=> 3y + 5 = 5(y + 5)/2 = (5y + 25)/2
=> 6y + 10 = 5y + 25
=> y = 15
x = 3 X 15 = 45
Hence, my age and son's age are 45 years and 15 years.

\huge\boxed{Answer :}

Let my age be x years and son's age be y years.

According to question;

I am (x) three times as old as my son (3y). Means;

\textbf{x = 3y} ......(1)

5 years later, means plus (+)

I (x) shall be two and half (1/2) times as old as my son (y).

Means;

\textbf{x + 5 = 5(y + 5)/2}

x + 5 = (5y + 25)/2

2x + 10 = 5y + 25

2 (3y) + 10 = 5y + 25

6y + 10 = 5y + 25

6y - 5y = 25 - 10

\textbf{y = 15}

Put value of y in (1)

x = 3y

x = 3 (15)

\textbf{x = 45}

\huge{My\:age\:= x\:=\:45\:years}

and

\huge{Son's\:age\:= y\:= 15\:years}
