I am a four digit number 3 of my digit are the same and the sum of all 4 digit is 8

The four digit number can be 1115, 1511, 1151 or 5111.

It should be the value of the number because if we take the similar number to be 2, then 4 of the digits will become the same. Similarly, we can't take any natural number >1.
