Step-by-step explanation:

Let the ones place digit be x

Now , tens place digit is x+4

5 [10(x+4) + 1(x) ] = 300 {estimated product }

10x + 40 + x = 300/5

11x + 40 = 60

11x = 60- 40

x = 20 /11

x = 2 {approximately}

x + 4 = 6

The number is 62

verification :

5×62 = 310 Estimated value of 310= 300

( Rounding off to either 10's or 100's )

If the number was 51

5×51= 255 Rounding off to tens we get 260

Rounding off to 100's we get 300

If the number was 73

5× 73 = 365 Rounding off to 10's we get 370

Rounding off to 100's we get 400

Hope the explanation is clear....
