1. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. it is the smallest planet in the solar system. it does not have any moon of its own.
2. Venus is the brightest and hottest planet . it is almost as big as the earth so it is called the earth's sister planet. Venus can be seen in the sky at down and Dusk so it is also called the morning or evening star. Venus does not have any moon.
3. Earth is the third planet from the sun . it is called the blue planet as three fourth of the earth surface is covered with water. the earth is the only planet where there is life it has one moon of its own.
4. Mars has red soil and rocks so it is also called the red planet it has two moons of its own.
5. these four planets are known as innermost planet.
