Answer:

When you were growing up did you watch Star Wars? Or maybe you prefer Star Trek? Did you go out at night and look at the stars and wonder how long it would take to reach one? When I was a little kid I became fascinated with outer space and wanted to be part of some team to build a space ship and take it off the ground to another planet to find some alien race. Now at the point in my life where I need to find the path that I may do for the rest of my life I can choose to do something really close. I want to be an Aerospace Engineer. The working environment is like most office jobs. I would work a full time schedule, forty hours a week, but drawing near deadlines would drive me to spend time with overtime or even bringing some work home with me. I would spend most of my time in an office but I would occasionally go down to the construction site, hangar, or lab as needed. I would not have to be supervised by very many people, only other more senior engineers and my employer. Really this job can be done anywhere in the United States or in other countries but its best to be in areas like northern Kansas or in Florida as those build planes and are locations for NASA respectively. The minimum degree to be considered an engineer is a bachelor’s degree but can be advanced upon. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics(BLS) to be an engineer you need a degree from an engineering program accredited by ABET (accreditation board for engineering
