I bought a cooler for ₹3300 including a tax of 10%. Find the price of the cooler before VAT was added.

SP OF AIR COOLER= RS 3300

VAT ADDED = 10%

LET THE MP BE X

SO 10X/100 + X = 3300

10X +100X/ 100 = 3300

10X + 100X = 3300 * 100 (TRANSPOSIN 100FROM LHS TO RHS )

110X = 330000

SO X = 330000/110

X = 3000 RUPEES
