To find the molar mass of nitric acid HNO3. We need to consider the number of atoms of each element in the formula and then multiply each with the atomic mass .

In HNO3 there are 1 H atom,1 N atom and 3 O atoms

H = 1 X 1 = 1

N = 1 X 14 = 14

O = 16 X 3 = 48

16 + 14 + 1 = 63 g/mol

Answer:

63 g/mol

i) Molar mass of HNo3

=(Atomic mass of H+Atomic mass of N+3*Atomic mass of O)

=(1+14+3*17)u

=63u

ii) 27g of Al= 1mole

   1g of Al=1/27 moles

therefore, 270 g of Al =(1/27*270) mole=10 moles

iii) 1 mole of He= 4g

therefore, 0.5 moles of He=(0.5*4)=2g
