The question: 'Calculate the number of moles of oxygen required to produce 2409g of Magnesium Oxide. (Magnesium=24, O=16)'

We know that

2MG+O₂=2MGO.

The L.R here is Oxygen. Therefore Oxygen will burn completely to give 2409g of magnesium.

Mole=mass/molecular weight.

=2409/16

=150.5625 moles of Oxygen
