i cant understand one thing that in the topic of working of DC motor why have they written that a current is allowed to flow through the coil by closing the switch? how is it possible that if u close the switch, the current will flow? normally when u switch of something the current does not flow . Then how is possible over here??

Closed switch means when switch is on nd the circiut is closed in which the current can flow bcoz there is no gap. When circiut is open which means switch is off nd circuit is open the current can't flow bcoz der is a gap
