a)Metals can be distinguished from nonmetals on the basis of their physical properties like Hardness, Sonorous, ductility, Malleability, Conductivity etc.
So from the above examples:
Metals : Copper, Aluminum,Iron
Nonmetals: sulphur and Iodine
b)Brown colour on iron nail can be  due to rusting or to due to displacement reaction between Copper sulphate an iron nail.
Due to rusting :when iron nail is exposed to air an moisture , it forms iron oxide(Fe2O3) or rust
Due to Displacement Reaction:
CuSO4 +Fe    -----------> FeSO4 +Cu
as iron is more reactive than copper , it displaces copper from its salt  and iron is coated with copper.
C)All the metals are good conductors of heat.Among the given examples best conductor of heat is copper as it has high thermal conductivity.
d)Reaction of Metals with water:
When a metal reacts with water it forms metal hydroxide and hydrogen gas.
Metal + Water ----> Metal Hydroxide +Hydrogen
For example:
Na +H2O------->NaOH  + H2
e)Reaction of Non metals with water:
Non metals do not react with water.
In fact some of the highly reactive nonmetals like Phosphorous are stored in water because phosphorous reacts with air and catches fire so to prevent it is stored in water as nonmetals don't react with water.
