Area of rectangle =base X height

=17*5=85 cm^2

Area of semicircle= pi*r^2/2=3.14*8.5^2/2

=113.43cm^2

Therefore the area of figure is113.43+85=198.43cm^2

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First perimeter of rectangular shape =2 (l+b) then 2 (17+5)then 2(22)then 44 so perimeter of the rectangle is 44 cm or m ok then the circumference of semi circle = pie r ok so, 3.14×8.5 because if the length of the rectangle is 17 so opposite of it will be also 17 and semi circle is on the opposite of it OK. So 3.14×8.5=26.69 m. And if we add both of them 44+26.69= 70.69 and if we wanted to know the whole figure's perimeter so it is 70.69 -17 =53.69.
