there is a formula for finding the lateral surface area for cube it is : 4a sq,
where 'a' is the side of the cube

Hey there!
That's quite simple question, Friend.

CUBE:

1. Curved Surface Area or Lateral Surface Area = 4 × (side)²

2. Total Surface Area = 6 × (side)²

3. Volume = (side)³

As the Cube has 4 × (side)² as formula for L.S.A. 
The above pic. in Question is putting 10 at place of "side".

i.e. L.S.A. of cubical box having edge 10 = 4 × (side)² = 4 × 100 = 400 cm²
