Take (-1) common from (-a + 2b)^3 to form
(-1)^3 × (a - 2b)^3
 {( - 1)}^{3}  \:  \times  \: {(a \:  -  \: 2b)}^{3}
( - 1) \:  \times  \: ({a}^{3} \:   -  \: 8{b}^{3} \:  -  \: 3 {a}^{2}b \:  +  \: 3a {b}^{2})
( -{a}^{3} \:  + 8{b}^{3} \:  + 3{a}^{2}b \:  -3a {b}^{2})
