I dont understand acceleration ??? i want to get an clear idea

It is simply the change in velocity of a body with respect to time For eg. if a body changes it velocity from 2m/s to 4m/s in 2sec, then its change in velicity is 2m/s and when divided with time (2sec) , what we obtain is acceleration i.e. 2m/s^2
