Answer:

steps:

i) bisects one of the angles.

ii) bisects another angle.

iii) where they cross is the center of the inscribed circle.

iv) construct a ⊥ from the center point to one side of the triangle.

v) compare on the center point, adjust its length to where the ⊥ crosses the triangle.Steps:

Give : equilateral triangle ABC with the sides of 5 cm

Draw a tangent

To Find : Observe from where tangent passes through

Solution:

Step 1 :  Draw a line segment AB

Step 2 : Using compass width = 5 cm and taking A & B as centers draw arc intersecting at C

Step 3 : Join AC & BC

Step 4 : Draw perpendicular bisector of AC & BC intersecting at O

Step 5 : Taking O as center and  compass width = OA , draw circle

Draw tangent at OA ( right angle)

take length AP or AP'  = 5 cm  both sides

Then Draw tangent passing through P & P'

one of this tangent passes through B and another tangent passes through C

OBSERVATION :  TANGENT PASSES THROUGH ANOTHER VERTEX OF TRIANGLE.
