And we say the differential equation say in the form:

M(x,y)dx+N(x,y)dy=0

Then the differential equation  is said to be exact when:

M_y=N_x

WhereM_y \text{is partial derivative of M with respect to y}

And N_x \text{is partial derivative of N with respect to x}
