f(x) = 3x+1

To find the zero of f(x) , we must take f(x) = 0,

=> 3x+1= 0

=> 3x = -1

=> x = -1/3

Therefore,

-1/3 is zero of f(x).

Or

If x = -1/3 then f(x) = 0
