Answer:

Given : The ratio of molecular weight of Hydrogen and Oxygen in water is 1:8 Amount of hydrogen is 3/2 gms.

Solution:

Let amount of hydrogen be x gms, then amount of oxygen will be 8x

But amount of hydrogen is given to be 3/2 gms, i.e

x=3/2gms

so amount of oxygen =8×3/2gms

=4×3gms

=12gms

Therefore, amount of oxygen is 12 gms

Answer:

Given, The ratio of molecular weight of Hydrogen and Oxygen in water is 1 : 8

Let the amount of hydrogen be x and amount of oxygen be y

Given, x : y = 1 : 8

=> x/y = 1/8

=> y = 8x

Now, the graph is:

Again, given oxygen = 12 gm

Now, amount of hydrogen is

12 = 8x

=> x = 12/8

=> x = 3/2

=> x = 1.5 gm

Again given quantity of hydrogen = 32 gm

So, the quantity of oxygen is

y = 8*32

=> y = 256 GMs
