I found a mouse in my sister's room today, it's 14 degrees and windy outside. The mouse was bitten by my dog, not terribly, but it's definitely still in shock, or so it has been for four hours. I've been keeping it in a small plastic container, wrapped up in tissues and a dish cloth. I have a heating pad wrapped around the container and a small pile of baked rice next to the mouse. What should I do? I can't bring myself to put it out of its misery by smashing it with a rock or something. Do you think there's a chance it'll survive? Should I release it now? Or should I take it to a vet? It doesn't move at all but I see it is breathing. I see the chest moving. Advice? Tips?

Answer:

Well I say that even though I hate the idea it is already suffering, and I feel that soon it will die... I say the best thing is to either wait and see if it gets better or go ahead and put it out of its misery. DO NOT take it to a vet, trust me they will just kill it (I know from experiannce -n-) . Trust me William, putting it out of its misery would be the best way... Or try leaving it alone for a bit to see if it will calm down...

The photoelectric effect is the process in which EM radiation ejects electrons from a material. Einstein proposed photons to be quanta of EM radiation having energy E = hf, where f is the frequency of the radiation
