I gave 3/16 of my money to A 1/4 to B and the remaining 36 rupees to C. How much had I and A and B get ?

let the total amount of money I have be X

$\frac{3}{16} x + \frac{1}{4} x + 36 = x \\ \frac{3 + 4 + 576}{16} = x \\ \frac{583}{16} = x \\ x = 36.4375$

hence A gets=

$\frac{3}{16} \times 36.4375 = 6.9$

and B gets =

$\frac{1}{4} \times 36.4375 = 9.1$

and I have =

$36.4375$
