veins are not pic but arteries are thick to resist high blood pressure and veins carry carbon dioxide from the body to the heart but arteries carry oxygenated blood from the heart to the body and also arteries are red in colour but veins are blue in colour it appears green when we see on the skin

the exceptional vein and artery are Pulmonary vein which possess the qualities of artery and Pulmonary artery which process the quality of veins... these pulmonary veins and arteries is connected to lungs and to heart only...pulmo means respiratory.

hope it helps than you thought

Arteries are thick walled and elastic
Arteries do not have valves Arteries are blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart to different parts of the body
They carry blood with high pressure

Veins are thin walled
Veins are blood vessels that carry blood from different organs of the body towards the heart so that they don't need thick walls
They have valves. Valves allow the flow of blood only in one direction
