Irrigation in crop field is the supply of water at regular intervals. There are many types of irrigation which are divided into groups of traditional and modern.

In many region of our country, a lot of water is lost in the form of evaporation and wastage due to less planned irrigation system. But this is not in case of Drip Irrigation because of the following reasons:

• The water is supplied directly to the root zone of the plant by pipe-emitters.
• This prevents the flooding and stagnation of water in the patch regions.
• This saves the water that is usually accumulated in the top of the plant.

This was initiated under the modern irrigation systems in order to use some sustainable methods of supplying water to the plants. Nowadays, this is widely used.
