I got an increase in 10 % in my salary.later it was decreased by 10 % .find the total change in my percentage income​

Let your original salary be x

Increase in salary = x +10% of x

= x+10/100x

= x+1/10x

11/10x = 1.1x

Increased Salary = 1.1x

Now decrease in this salary = 1.1x -10% of 1.1x

(Here we would have to take out 10% of new Salary)

= 1.1x -10/100 ×1.1x

= 1.1x -1.1 /10x

= 11x - 1.1x /10

= 9.9x/10

= 0.99x

Decreased salary = 0.99x

If we compare the original salary and the decreased salary the decreased salary is 0.1 less than the original salary. In percentage the decreased salary is 1% less than the original salary.
