\huge{\star{\textrm{\underline{Concept behind:-}}}}

\sf\textsf{Linear equation in one variable.}

\sf\textsf{\underline{Here's how to do it:-}}

\sf{The\: total\: money={\boxed{\bold{\underline{Rs.500}}}}}

\sf{Money \:given\: to\: John= {\bold{Rs.x}}}

\sf{Money \:given\: to\: Tom= {\bold{Rs.2x}}}

\sf{Money \:given\: to\: Peter= {\bold{Rs.(x/3)}}}

\sf{Money \:left\: at\:the\: end= {\bold{Rs.(x+6)}}}

\Huge\textrm{\underline{ATQ:-}}

\implies{x+2x+(x/3)+(x+6)=500}

\implies{x+2x+(x+6)+(x/3)=500}

\implies{4x+x/3+6=500}

\implies{13/3x=500-6}

\implies{13/3x=494}

\implies{x=494×3/13}

\implies{\boxed{\bold{\underline{\star{x=114}}}}}

\sf\textsf{In question,it is asked that how much did Peter get.}

\sf{Peter \:was \:given\: {\boxed{\bold{\underline{\star{Rs.(x/3)=Rs.114/3=Rs.38}}}}}}
