I have 14 apples with me of which 2/7th of them are spoilt.After selling off smoe of them,I was left with 1/5th of the fresh apples.Half of the remaining apples were eaten up by my wife.Enter the total number of apples which are left with me

14 × 2/7 = 2

2 apples are spoiled

14 - 2 = 12

1/5*12 = 12/5 are remaining

12/5 × 1/2 = 12/10 or 6/5 apples are left with me

Remaining apples = 14 - 4 = 10

left apples with me = 10 × 1/5 = 2

apples eaten by my wife = 2 × 1/2 = 1

therefore, the number of apples left with me is 1
